The Division of Real Estate & Professional Licensing helps ensure Ohioans’ investment in their largest asset – their homes – is a sound one. This includes licensing, educating, and enforcing Ohio laws for real estate brokers, salespersons, real estate appraisers, home inspectors and foreign real estate dealers and salespersons. The division also registers cemeteries and real estate developments located in other states that are marketed in Ohio. REPL also has responsibilities under the Manufactured Homes Program and is responsible for licensing and inspecting brokers/dealers and salespersons. The Video Service Authorization Section provides complaint services, education and outreach to cable consumers, local governments, and cable providers.

The Division of Real Estate & Professional Licensing is seeking candidates to fill a Certification/Licensure Examiner 2 position on the licensing team. The Certification/Licensure Examiner 2 will perform the following duties which include, but are not limited to:
Reviewing and verifying required documents to assist with acquiring, maintaining or reactivating a Real Estate or professional license and communicating any needs/corrections to internal and external customers.
Understanding and articulating the codes which regulate Real Estate and other professional licenses and apply them in different scenarios.
Communicating through email and telephone the requirements of licensees to acquire, maintain, reactivate and resign/cancel licenses. This position works with the Licensing manager to ensure applications are processed in a timely manner.
Periodically compiling reports, drawing conclusions from these reports and preparing and sending basic correspondence.
