Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:
Ensures accurate and timely processing of monthly reports to Corporate Headquarters (Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Account Receivable and Payable Aging Analysis).
Prepares periodical cost accounting reports, reporting on deviations and critical financial issues with respect to Budget.
Oversees the accounting processes, including Statutory Financial Statements and Corporate Reporting Package.
Lead, coach and develop the accounting team that supports plants across North America (accounts receivable/payable, manufacturing performance indicators, and financial reporting).
Ensures compliance with internal controls and financial procedures.
Responsible for inventory management controls (e.g. cycle counts, variances analysis, etc.).
Prepare obsolete inventory reviews, thru regular review of stock usage by part.
Partner with operations to ensure compliance with internal procedures (PO approval, work orders completion, etc.).
Responsible for coordinating with external tax, legal and audit to ensure compliance with all tax and regulatory requirements. Interfaces with tax consultants providing the necessary financial information for Corporate Income Tax calculation and preparation.
Assist in the preparation of financial projections.
Experience/technical skills required include:
BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics or similar discipline.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as Manager of Finance/Accounting Department (experience in manufacturing environment preferred).
US GAAP knowledge required (IFRS knowledge a plus).
Knowledge of standard costing and practical involvement in manufacturing variance calculation
Strong Knowledge Internal controls (Sarbanes-Oxley Act)
Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills, such as pivot tables and query
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to complete projects timely and accurately.
Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.Company Description
