Position: Controller

Salary: $135,000 - $155,000 /annually

Location: Tracy, CA

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm

Job Description:

The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting activities of the organization, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to senior management. This position requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments to drive financial performance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare, review and present monthly financial statements to the Executive Team

Responsible for on-time completion of monthly closing including GL reconciliation and journal entry posting

Ensure proper controls and processes exist and are maintained.

Prepare, review and present sales projections and annual forecasts.

Analyze and create ad hoc financial reports and Excel-based financial modeling & budgeting.

Manage daily cash flow.

Prepare monthly Borrowing Base Reports as needed.

Manage capital asset purchases, leases, and depreciation schedules.

Lead contact for bank, insurance, and other regulatory audits.

Manage 3rd Party IT/Network provider.

Collaborate within inter-department teams and manage costing of production runs including yield analysis, production, and raw material adjustments.

Ensure record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies.

Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements on tax filings.

Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, cost accounting and month end close.

Manage, develop, coach, and mentor accounting staff.

Receive and answer inquiries from vendors and suppliers by phone, fax, postal mail, and electronic mail concerning invoices and payment status.

Implement new processes where necessary to ensure efficiency.

Additional controller duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or equivalent combination of education and/or experience

5 – 10 years related controller accounting experience

Working knowledge of an ERP accounting system (ABS accounting system experience a plus)

5 - 10 years’ experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment

Experience working with and knowledge of CANOPY or other similar software

Working knowledge of and experience working with QuickBooksCompany Description
