As a Lead Nurse, you are responsible for assisting the Director of Nursing in planning, implementing, and managing certain aspects of the nursing department under the direction of the Director of Nursing.

Requirements:

Must possess a current valid driver’s license in good standing in the state of employment and be insurable by the designated carrier. This role may require driving for company purposes

Localized travel may be required.

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing

Minimum of 2 years related nursing practice

Preferred

Registered Nurse with a full unencumbered license in the state seeking to practice

Two (2) years of leadership experience

Responsibilities:

Assist the DON with orientation, annual training curriculum and other team education.

Attend weekly treatment team.

Under DON's direction, help develop the schedule for nursing team to ensure all shifts are covered. Provide coverage when necessary.

Provide oversight of inventory, ordering and receiving medical supplies.

Maintain compliance with regulations governing alcohol and other drug entities of accrediting bodies by monitoring operations under the direction of the DON.

Participate in nursing training and policy compliance.

Complete all training in a timely manner

Work with leadership team on state and CARF readiness/surveys and preparation under the direction of the DON.

Ensure the treatment plan of the provider or medical director is being followed.

Other duties as assigned.
