Accounting Manager

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to lead accounting operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to oversee daily accounting activities while supporting strategic financial planning.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting team including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with GAAP.

WIP Billing and Job Costing

Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial data.

Lead the month-end and year-end close processes.

Manage budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with senior management.

Coordinate and liaise with external auditors and tax consultants.

Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements as needed.

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.

Train and mentor junior accounting staff and ensure professional development.

Assist with ERP implementation, upgrades, and other finance-related projects.

Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).

5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar).

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in [industry type, e.g., manufacturing, non-profit, tech, etc.].

Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).

Knowledge of financial planning and analysis (FP&A).
