Join Our Team! We are excited to invite a dedicated and passionate Fitness Coordinator to become a vital part of our Fitness Team.

Overview: As the Wellness and Fitness Program Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to develop and manage engaging fitness and wellness programs tailored for our residents and staff. This is a full-time position, offering 32 hours per week of meaningful work.

Your Role: In line with our established company policies, your responsibilities will include:

Leading dynamic group fitness classes for residents in Independent Living and Assisted Living as well as staff, focusing on improving strength, flexibility, cardiovascular health, and overall fitness. Class offerings may include Strength and Balance, Yoga, Zumba®, Aerobics, and more.

Promoting a culture of health and activity for all community members by collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and providing insights related to physical well-being.

Creating effective marketing campaigns to inspire healthy lifestyles and boost participation in wellness programs.

Demonstrating the proper use of various fitness equipment, ensuring safe and effective exercise practices.

Recommending new programs or services that enhance wellness while potentially generating revenue or reducing costs.

Delivering excellent customer service with a positive attitude, committed to safe physical exercise practices.

Exploring off-site fitness options to provide a diverse array of offerings.

Tracking attendance and performance data for wellness events and classes.

Conducting surveys to assess interest and satisfaction with our fitness and wellness initiatives.

Collaborating with Social Event Coordinators to plan engaging fitness-related events like organized walks, kayaking trips, and hikes.

Partnering with our Dining Program to promote nutritious dining options.

Overseeing the maintenance and cleanliness of fitness equipment and facilities, ensuring safety for all users.

Providing personal training services tailored to individual needs.

Qualifications:

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Physical Education, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

2 - 5 years of experience working with senior populations.

Relevant fitness certification (ACE, AFAA, etc.).

Strong communication skills to explain training principles clearly.

Preferred:

Master's degree in a related field.

5+ years of experience with the senior population.

Experience in Independent and Assisted Living environments.

Certifications from FAI, NSCA, NASM.

First Aid and CPR certification.

Experience in planning outdoor adventure activities such as kayaking and hiking.
