Quality Receiving Inspector (Aerospace)

Job Title: Quality Receiving Inspector

Type: 90-Day Contract-to-Hire

Pay: Based on Experience

Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Receiving Inspector for an aerospace manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for inspecting incoming materials and products to ensure they meet defined quality and engineering standards. The ideal candidate will be comfortable reading blueprints, using inspection tools, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Responsibilities:

Review and interpret work orders, inspection manuals, and blueprints to determine test procedures

Inspect incoming parts, products, and in-process work for conformance to specifications

Mark items for acceptance or rejection based on findings

Record inspection data and test results

Measure finished products or assemblies for accuracy, performance, and functionality

Monitor equipment and instruments to ensure operation within specified parameters

Maintain accurate inspection records and support quality documentation

Participate in continuous improvement efforts and support quality policies

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required

Minimum of 2 years of hands-on mechanical inspection experience

Proficient with Excel (Advanced), Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documents

Familiarity with aerospace quality standards is a plus
