Job Title: Material Analyst (Sheet Metal)
Job Type: 90-Day Contract-to-Hire
Shift: 6:00 AM start time
Pay: Based on experience
Overview:
A manufacturing facility is seeking a Material Analyst to support production flow and material coordination within the Sheet Metal Department. This role ensures materials are tracked, ordered, and available to meet production needs. Ideal for someone detail-oriented with experience in manufacturing and material planning.
Responsibilities:
Monitor material inventory levels and usage across the sheet metal department
Coordinate with purchasing and production teams to ensure timely availability of materials
Track incoming and outgoing materials, and verify receipts against orders
Work closely with production leads to plan material needs based on schedules
Assist with cycle counts, inventory accuracy, and material movement documentation
Identify and resolve material shortages or discrepancies
Use ERP or inventory systems to enter and manage material data
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to material flow and efficiency
Requirements:
Previous experience in a manufacturing/material analyst or inventory control role
Familiarity with sheet metal production is a plus
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to use ERP systems or inventory software
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and communicating across departments
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally and work on the production floor when needed
