Sr. Network Engineer/Consultant-PT-Hybrid

Our client in the public sector is looking for some Network Engineering consulting help for some upcoming projects. Estimating 16 hours a month. Due to the heavy workload on the small network engineering team, the client is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to provide design and architecture support, especially for the upcoming core and top-of-rack switch upgrades and the data center move. The preference is for someone who can attend design meetings, offer recommendations, and support configuration remotely, with only limited onsite presence needed for initial knowledge transfer.

Collaborating with internal departments to build and maintain network infrastructures that meet business needs.

Optimizing intranet performance and creating internet domains.

Increasing server capacity to keep up with demand in the flow of online traffic.

Testing network protocols and ensuring secure and reliable server connectivity.

Installing new software and upgrading existing software.

Training staff, preparing user manuals for network deployment, and providing end-user support.

Developing and implementing data backup, archiving, and retrieval procedures.

Testing the flow of data and the strength of communication between routers, modems, computers, and servers.

Optimizing network security, as well as documenting network installation and maintenance processes.Company Description
