Gene's Towing is looking for a reliable and motivated individual to join our team of dedicated professionals. A perfect opportunity for retired drivers those that have long served in the transportation industry! We are hiring for a Multi Tasking Superstar Dispatcher who is not afraid to take charge!

Job duties include:

Promptly answers incoming calls from customers in need of services

Asking basic questions of Customers related to current needs

Remains friendly and approachable with Customers

Efficiently dispatches multiple different Classes of trucks

Multi-task using multiple computer screens while using radio and answering phone lines simultaneously

Quickly make sense out of convoluted data

Accurately tracks all calls from initiation through completion

Coordinates service and schedules of drivers

Monitors location of Drivers and trucks

Answers multiple phone lines

Prioritize calls in order to schedule and dispatch Drivers and appropriate trucks

Entering call data accurately and clearly into towing software program

Determines the response needed for all dispatching situations

Records, coordinates and accurately relays information of all calls and dispatches

Communicates effectively with drivers to ensure they are responding to the correct location and status

Contacts customers to collect payments.

Performs other duties as assigned by management

Full time and part time Swing/Graveyard/Weekends (able to work all shifts on occasion, and weekends if needed)

Experience:

High School Diploma or GED

1 year experience in dispatching, data entry and recordkeeping

1 year of Call Center/Telemarketing experience

1 year of Customer Service experience in a fast paced environment

Familiar with Pierce, King and Thurston County geographic areas

Keyboarding and Computer Experience in Windows based programs

Skills Required:

Communicate on a daily basis with public and law enforcement with courtesy, discretion and sound judgment

Problem solving

Able to pass a Federal drug test

Able to pass a criminal background check

We have a full line of Light and medium Tow Trucks, and heavy duty wrecker units for towing all types of autos, motorcycles, large trucks, semi’s, RV’s and buses. Our office is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, and is staffed by professional and friendly dispatchers who will answer your call and immediately send out a licensed tow truck driver.
