PAPER OPERATOR JOB DESCRIPTION
GENERAL PURPOSE
Responsible to sure finished product is properly palletized and packaged; ensuring materials are staged including master rolls, cartons, etc.
Responsible for keeping work area clean.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Follow all safety rules and regulations, wear PPE.
Drive forklift and clamp truck to drop and stage master rolls.
Remove outer master roll packaging in preparation for master roll change.
Stack finished cartons on skid.
Print pallet ticket and wrap, cover, and place corner boards on skids.
Place skid in paper staging area for warehouse to place in inventory racks.
Keep packaging materials stocked and staged including lids, boxes, and cardboard sheets.
Relieve bunch operators for their breaks and cover their machine. This includes packaging finished product in cartons, making any minor adjustments, performing master roll change (if occurs on break), and any other necessary duties to keep the machine running while the operator is on break.
Assist on bunch machine for jobs that are a two-man job.
Communicate maintenance, quality, safety concerns and production issues with Paper Supervisor or with
Shift Supervisor, to ensure corrective action.
Communicate with employees from your own and other departments to create a teamwork environment and ensure that the machine is in top running condition.
Must be able to work scheduled overtime.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
All other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent
Product or industry specific machine experience
Have basic mechanical skills
High School level mathematics
Trouble shooting/problem solving skills

Storopack produces flexible packaging materials such as; Air Cushions, Paper Padding, Foam-in-Place, Loose Fill, Bubble, Mailers, Pre-Molded Foam Cushions and the packaging systems producing these materials on-demand at the customer facility. We work directly with the client and sell our products through distribution.
