Position Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with 3-5 years of accounting experience to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in financial reporting, general ledger management, and account reconciliations, with expertise in GAAP standards and advanced proficiency in accounting systems. This role requires keen attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and excellent communication and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies.
General Ledger Management: Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support key business decision-making.
Audit Support: Coordinate with internal and external auditors during financial audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing inquiries as needed.
Tax Compliance: Assist in preparing and reviewing tax filings, ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations.
Process Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for process optimization and automation to increase efficiency within accounting workflows.
Team Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with departments such as finance, operations, and HR to support key initiatives and ensure financial data accuracy.

Requirements:
Experience: 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in industries such as construction, manufacturing, distribution, or real estate.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or relevant certification is preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP software, advanced Excel, and familiarity with financial reporting systems.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP and compliance reporting standards.
Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills and Certifications:
CPA or progression towards obtaining a CPA license.
Demonstrated ability to work on complex financial projects and manage competing priorities efficiently.
Full-time
