**Small Company Controller for Lending Co."

We are looking for a dedicated Controller to join this direct lender of businesses in Los Angeles, California, and oversee the company’s financial operations. In this role, you will manage accounting processes, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and provide strategic insights to support business growth. This ongoing, in-person position requires a proactive leader who thrives in dynamic environments.

This is an onsite accounting role.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the company’s financial activities, including cash flow analysis, forecasting, and account reconciliations.

• Supervise a small finance team, providing leadership and guidance to ensure efficiency and accuracy in operations.

• Coordinate outgoing payments such as wires and ACH transfers, monitor incoming revenue, and oversee funding activities.

• Ensure compliance with lender requirements and maintain accurate business licensing documentation, including state filings and annual reports.

• Compile financial data to support marketing initiatives, funding performance analysis, and operational spending reviews.

• Collaborate directly with company founders to deliver financial insights that inform strategic decision-making.

• Monitor and optimize internal processes to improve financial operations and reporting.

• Oversee audits and ensure adherence to accounting standards and practices.

• Develop and maintain budgets to align with organizational goals and objectives.

• Utilize advanced accounting software systems to streamline workflows and reporting.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior finance or operations role.

• Strong knowledge of accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), general ledger, and budget processes.

• Experience with auditing and compliance standards.

• Excellent leadership and team management skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
