Must Haves:
Experience: Minimum 8-10 years as a machinist in a precision manufacturing environment.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating manual and CNC machines (mills, lathes, grinders, etc.).
Blueprint Reading: Ability to interpret technical drawings and understand GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
Quality Control: Familiarity with precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Work Ethic: Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Plusses:
Lathes: Okuma OSP P300 Control Lathe, Mazak Lathe with Mazatrol Control
Mills: Siemens Controls, Prototrak Mills (VM and SMX), Fadal Mill
Experience with CNC programming software.
Knowledge of different materials, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
Welding or fabrication experience is a plus.
Job Description:
We are looking for a highly skilled machinist with 10+ years of experience operating manual and CNC machines to produce precision components. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Experience training and leading junior machinists is preferred.
Responsibilities:
Set up and operate manual and CNC milling machines, lathes, and other precision equipment.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Select appropriate tools, speeds, and feed rates for machining operations.
Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality and dimensional specifications.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines as needed.
Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
