Job Title: Application Developer – IVR/Contact Center Systems (Hybrid – Harrisburg, PA)

Location: Harrisburg, PA (Hybrid – 1 day/week onsite, must be a Pennsylvania resident)

Compensation: $80,000 – $120,000 DOE (Depending on Experience)

Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role

Abel Personnel is partnering with a mission-driven organization in Harrisburg, PA, to find a highly skilled Application Developer with expertise in Interactive Voice Response (IVR) systems and contact center application development. This is a hybrid role (1 mandatory day in-office per week) ideal for a Pennsylvania resident who thrives in building enterprise-grade applications that support customer interaction, telephony integration, and business process automation.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain IVR applications using Concentrix, Intervoice Development Studio, and Interaction Composer

Utilize ECMAScript and related JavaScript technologies to enhance user experience

Build ancillary applications using C# and VB.NET (preferred)

Integrate contact center systems with telephony platforms and third-party APIs

Interpret technical specifications to build application solutions in alignment with business needs

Conduct unit and functional testing to ensure robust, bug-free code

Participate in code reviews, technical documentation, and peer collaboration

Maintain source code repositories and follow version control best practices

Provide occasional on-call production support and troubleshooting

Required Skills and Experience

3+ years of hands-on programming experience in enterprise environments

Proficiency in IVR/contact center development platforms such as Concentrix or Intervoice

Strong understanding of telephony systems, API integrations, and Java EE

Experience with SOAP, REST, and Web Services

Proficient in Structured Query Language (SQL) and working with relational/NOSQL databases

Experience in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

Familiarity with mainframe application development a plus

Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and best practices

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related technical field (or equivalent experience)

Prior experience with C#, VB.NET, or other .NET languages

Knowledge of system integration in highly regulated or public sector environments

Work Environment & Requirements

Hybrid Schedule: 1 day per week in the Harrisburg, PA office

Residency Requirement: Must be a current Pennsylvania resident

Availability for occasional after-hours support as needed for production issues
