We have expertise in all aspects of systems integration including electrical design, instrumentation, control panel design/build, programming, and commissioning. Since the company’s founding in 2015, Verus has grown to a team of 40 engineers with 5 locations in California, Nevada, Idaho, Oregon and Washington. Position Overview
The ideal candidate for this position is experienced in self-performing in the development and programming process control systems. Must have experience coding from scratch. The candidate must implement control strategies, design control panels, specify instrumentation, and program common PLC/HMI packages. The candidate must be comfortable working in an office environment and field environment. The position requires some travel (mostly local). Requirements:
5+ Years experience in Industrial Automation as a Controls Engineer.
Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited school, OR engaged in engineering program at an accredited school.
Experience with PLC and DCS hands on programming from modification to executing from scratch.
HMI/SCADA programming from stand-alone to redundant distributed.
Implement Historians and reporting.
Server and computer setup/configuration.
Develop control narratives.
Develop testing plans.
Specify and configure instruments.
Commissioning of systems (some local / remote travel required).
Preparing specifications for purchasing of software and servers.
Estimating software, labor, and implementation costs for budget preparation.
Plus: Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) desired but not required.
