This opportunity is in support of an active DoD missile contract as an Electrical Engineer and Computer Hardware Engineer. The role involves a combination of individual contribution and teamwork roles. As an individual contributor, you will be, in a small business, directly working with the DoD customer, suppliers and you will have daily interaction with the leadership of the company. You must work on-site in our office in Fairfax, Virginia.
Salary is in excess of $80K annually with benefits, with the salary level based on the experience of the candidate.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree in EE or Computer Hardware/related major and /or related experience:
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Microcontroller firmware design/development/test/integration experience, ideally with TI MSP430
PCB design, layout, simulation; ideally using Altium Designer
- Desired expertise in high-speed routing techniques (e.g. PCIe, USB, Ethernet) and serial interfaces (e.g. USB, UART, SPI, I2C)
Ability to read and interpret schematics and apply best practices appropriate for each design
Ability to determine work priorities based on broad direction from management
Expertise in applying relevant IPC standards, CID, CID+ certification
Experience with developing component libraries and library management
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with others
Ability to work within our company and team culture
Must be a US citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret-level security clearance
