deciBel Research has an immediate opening for a Software Engineer in Huntsville, AL.

Position Description:

deciBel Research is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to perform software development activities in support of the Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Weapon System (GWS). The software engineer works in Agile-based process within a disciplined DevSecOps environment in cooperation with System Engineering, Cybersecurity, and IT teams to develop high-quality software products.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.

Experience Requirements:

2+ years with Bachelor's degree; 0 years with Master's degree. Maximum of 10 years' experience

Experience with the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

software design requirements, application development, integration, testing, and deployment

Demonstrated experience in Modeling and Simulation

Demonstrated experience with C++

Experience with at least one of the following programming or scripting languages:

C, GoLang, Ada, and/or Python

Special Skills Desired:

Strong understanding of C and C++ languages including templates, memory storage, and compiler/linker

Experience with SQL Database or JSON Database

Experience with simulated threat environments such as AFSIM or GMDSIM

Ability to collaborate with systems engineers, hardware designers and integration/test

Applicant selected must have an active Secret security clearance, or higher. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
