Position Summary:

We are a seeking motivated and detail-oriented Document Control Specialist to support the IRS Investigation Division’s Frivolous Return Program in the conversion of paper documents to electronic form through comprehensive project management and analysis efforts. Candidates will work on-site and play a key role in acquiring, organizing, analyzing, processing, and managing physical documents using high-capacity scanning and digital file management systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Participate in project meetings to discuss tasks, priorities, and process improvement initiatives

Prepare paper documents for industrial-grade scanning

Operate industrial-grade scanners for high-volume document digitization

Perform digital file manipulation and organization of scanned image files

Conduct quality assurance and validation of scanned outputs

Collaborate with FRP Government staff on secondary quality reviews to validate determinations

Disseminate paper documents based on project-specific decisions

Provide consistent status updates and communicate progress on assigned projects

Maintain and update project metrics for in-progress and completed work

Adapt to changes in project processes and procedures to enhance efficiency

Assist in securing and managing access to required programs and systems in a timely manner

Ensure secure storage, governance, and management of both physical and electronic data

Proofread and perform quality control on processed and unprocessed data

Log and manage incoming requests using tracking and project management tools

Required Qualifications:

Candidate must have a high school diploma required, or an associate degree.

Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered

U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (required)

Willing and able to undergo a government background investigation

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred Skills:

Experience with document management systems, scanning equipment, or digital workflow is a plus

Proficiency in file management, data validation, and quality assurance preferred

Flexible and adaptable to evolving processes and technologies
