Senior Shopify Engineer We are seeking a Senior Shopify Engineer to lead the technical evolution of our Shopify Plus storefront.

In this role, you will support re-platforming, ensure seamless integrations, optimise performance, and drive innovative solutions.

You will collaborate closely with product managers, program managers, UX/UI designers, and other engineers to deliver a best-in-class e-commerce experience.

Implement high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code across storefront components.

Contribute to projects focused on conversion rate optimisation (CRO), user experience enhancements, and integration of new e-commerce features.

Serve as the technical expert for integrations between Shopify and legacy systems (ERP, WMS, PIM, MRP), supporting the overall migration to a new platform.

Ensure seamless data flow and system compatibility.

Performance Optimisation Optimise the performance, speed, and scalability of the Shopify storefront.

Conduct regular audits and implement best practices for site performance and SEO.

Testing & QA Implement automated testing practices to ensure code quality and platform stability.

Collaborate with product managers, program managers, and UX/UI designers to ensure technical feasibility and roadmap alignment.

5+ years of web development experience, with at least 3 years focused on Shopify, Shopify Markets and utilization of Shopify APIs.

~ Proficiency in Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and Tailwind CSS.

~ js and GraphQL.

~ Experience with project management tools, preferably Asana or Jira.

~ Strong understanding of e-commerce best practices, with a focus on performance and customer experience.

~ Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile, startup-like environment.

~ Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills with a proactive, detail-oriented mindset and commitment to high-quality code.

Familiarity with Ruby on Rails.

Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD workflows, and headless implementations.

Familiarity with Alpine.js.

This is a full-time hybrid position based in Toronto.
