Summary of Position
Niles Plant Services is a privately held and financially strong industrial services company that prides itself on the safety of its workers. Niles is looking for a full-time Jr. Project Manager.
The Junior Project Manager plays a crucial role in the planning, coordination, and successful execution of construction projects. Projects can range in size and include various scopes of work. This position is responsible for assisting in job cost management, profit protection and enhancement, coordinating subcontractors, and production tracking and reporting. The Jr. Project Manager will work closely with our onsite supervision for each project. They will be expected to handle multiple projects at any given time depending on size and complexity. The Jr. Project Manager is responsible for assisting in coordination with other teams within Niles including purchasing, workforce dispatch, safety, and equipment departments to provide a well-coordinated, creative, and efficient delivery of assigned projects at the highest level for our customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Coordinate project activities, in conjunction with the estimators and project field leaders, such as
planning and preparing work schedules, monitoring progress, and production tracking.
• Project Planning: Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to develop project
plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
• Design Review: Participate in the review of construction designs and specifications to ensure they
meet project requirements and comply with relevant regulations and standards.
• Ensure all projects have Pre and Post job meetings.
• Execute project work plans.
• Ensure project documents are complete, current, and handled appropriately.
• Coordination: Coordinate various aspects of the construction project, including scheduling, resource
allocation, and logistics. Facilitate communication between different teams and stakeholders.
• Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure that construction
work meets specified standards and regulations.
• Safety Compliance: Monitor and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Address safety concerns promptly and work to prevent accidents.
• Problem Solving: Identify and resolve issues that may arise during the construction process.
Collaborate with project teams to find effective solutions.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including drawings,
specifications, and change orders. Ensure compliance with record-keeping requirements.
• Progress Reporting: Provide regular updates on project progress to project managers and
stakeholders.
• Construction Technology: Stay informed about advancements in construction technology and
methodologies. Apply relevant technologies to improve efficiency and project outcomes.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with architects, contractors, engineers, and other professionals
involved in the project to ensure effective communication and coordination.
• Environmental Considerations: Consider and address environmental factors associated with the
construction project, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
• Visit job sites to support Field leaders, as needed as well as build customer confidence.
• Work with account managers to establish client interface protocols within the projects.
• Work with the project team to review post-job meetings and “lessons learned” to continuously
improve processes.

applicable local, state, and federal laws.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field or proven experience
• 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience with logistics
• Computer knowledge and proficiency in using estimating software, email, and Microsoft Office.

• Basic understanding of financial practices and accounting policies.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills with the ability to coordinate, manage and
direct others.
