Akkodis is seeking an Engineering Program Specialist role for a contract role with a client in Sunnyvale, CA (Onsite). We’re ideally looking for applicants with experience in hardware engineering environment and Program management.

Pay Range: $63-$65/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

The ideal candidate has the ability to balance technical prowess with proactive customer service in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Description

The VPG Data EPS role works cross-functionally across many teams to plan for allocations of development hardware and identify and resolve issues in support of software engineering.

This role includes responsibility for

Managing complex business relationships and hardware demand for engineering teams

Applying your knowledge of engineering team requirements to analyze, interpret, and make deductions based on program details and business patterns

Maintaining an accurate and detailed hardware allocations database

Managing and tracking hardware inventory to ensure availability and alignment with team needs

Tracking delivery schedules and prioritizing distribution to critical teams; highlighting any delays and communicating cross-functionally

Designing workflows to meet key deliverables for team milestones, including performing device setup to specifications provided by engineering teams

Partnering with multi-functional groups such as legal, engineering services, hardware development, and operations

Supporting software and hardware QA efforts, including troubleshooting and setup of hardware and software

Delivering hardware to requestors and providing on-site support

Resolving complex technical issues and contributing to overall process improvements

Minimum Qualifications

BS/BA or equivalent experience

Exceptional verbal and written communication

Detail-oriented with project management skills

Demonstrated decision-making skills in an engineering environment

Self-motivated and proactive with creative and critical thinking capabilities

Excellent time management skills; ability to prioritize duties and responsibilities effectively

Proficient in Apple applications, including Numbers and Keynote

Ability to be on-site full-time and support hardware deliveries

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with the analysis of large and complex data sets

Hands-on experience with hardware and software setup and troubleshooting

Prior experience managing hardware inventory and QA testing workflows

Prior experience presenting reporting and data analytics in support of business decisions

Proven track record of solving complex technical problems
