Job Title: Optical System Test and Prototyping Engineer
Location: Redmond, WA (Onsite)
Duration: 4+ Months
Summary:
The CW will support the WG imaging project in Q3 and Q4 of 2025.
Tasks include running WG imaging tests, collecting and analyzing test data, developing software programs to control motion systems, and integrating 3rd party software to develop engineering demos.
Must-Have Skills:
Experience in optical imaging system testing, such as MTF measurement, relative illumination measurement, etc.
Knowledge and experience in software development, such as writing python programs to control motion systems, to develop GUIs, and to integrate open-source software packages.
Experience of VBG based waveguide fabrication and testing
Ideal candidate:
With knowledge and working experience in optical imaging system testing, such as MTF measurement, relative illumination measurement, etc.
With knowledge and experience in software development, such as writing python programs to control motion systems, to develop GUIs, and to integrate open-source software packages.
Preferred experience of VBG based waveguide fabrication and testing.
Experience in working with muti-disciplinary teams, and outside vendors to drive results.
Good communication skills and be responsible in delivering results.
Familiar with internal engineering practice, metrology labs and resources.
Education/Experience:
Advanced degree in the field of Optical Sciences, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a similar field or equivalent experience
Surrounding team & key projects:
Apart of the wave system AR display systems team, working on optical image system testing.
