DESIGN ENGINEER - FIRE SPRINKLER (On-site Whitehall, WI)

Overview:
Fire System Design Works is rapidly growing and looking to expand our team to include an additional Design Engineer in Whitehall, WI.
The Design Engineer is responsible for designing fire protection systems, conducting all steps to ensure quality and compliance, and coordinating with the department supervisor and applicable sales representative.

Design Engineer Responsibilities:
Design fire sprinkler systems and conduct hydraulic calculations for jobs
Use CAD in the design of fire protection systems
Conduct construction site review/survey on buildings if needed.
Submit plans to General Contractors/owners and follow specifications.
Finalize fabrication techniques with the appropriate stakeholders
Complete final shop drawings showing all pertinent information
Generate materials lists for completed designs
Compile the foreman's pack, including all necessary forms and paperwork.
Process all necessary close-out documents
Design Engineer Qualifications:
NICET Level III or IV, or 5+ years of current experience designing fire sprinkler systems
Working knowledge of one or more of the following CAD software platforms: AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, Autodesk BIM 360, Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, Hydra CAD, AutoSprink, SprinkCAD, or SprinkFIT
Apply mathematical concepts, such as geometry, fractions, and measuring
Ability to read and interpret documents, such as blueprints, codes, standards, specifications, safety rules, and operating and maintenance instructions
Analytical and critical thinking skills
Ability to communicate effectively in-person and electronically
Time management and organizational skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
