Job Description
The Goddard School is an Early Childhood Program. Our school is committed to providing a high level of education for Infants, Toddlers, Preschool, and Pre-Kindergarten children. We are a year-round program, and during the summer months, we are a fun summer camp.
An Assistant Teacher at The Goddard School is responsible for establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment. Additionally, an Assistant Teacher is responsible to work together with the Lead Teacher and in conjunction with the entire faculty.
Some of the job responsibilities include:
Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment
Support each child’s social and emotional development and provide positive guidance
Establish positive and effective family relations
Ensure an effective program, responsive to children’s needs
Maintain professional commitment
Educational Qualifications
All candidates, who wish to be considered for the position of Assistant Teacher must meet one of the following criteria:
Experience in childcare
A current CDA or Early Childhood Teaching Credential.
An associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development
