We’re looking for a results-driven Applications Engineer with a passion for high-complexity part programming, process optimization, and advanced machining strategies. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving tough manufacturing problems and wants to make a measurable impact.

Sets tooling and creates machine programs to accurately manufacture the part.

Proves quality and cycle time by performing a SPC run off of the process.

Troubleshoot CNC related problems and provide machining solutions.

Conduct training classes for all personnel on the shop floor and programming team.

Minimum of 5 years' experience in CNC programming. Experience in Siemens or Heidenhein experience and 5-axis programming a must.

Siemens NX preferred or MasterCam programming software.

Thorough knowledge and application of SPC techniques for evaluating and troubleshooting process variation.

Has a wide variety of part type experience in the manufacturing of chassis and power train components in the automotive and/or aerospace industry.

High understanding of feed and speeds and types of cutting tools for a wide variety of part and material types.

Has the ability to troubleshoot fixtures to determine root cause of failure.

Ability to analyze and interpret pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical and electrical schematics and drawings.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new fixturing, tooling, and automation strategies

Utilize CAM software (e.g., Siemens NX,Vericut) for toolpath generation and simulation.

Drive continuous improvement in programming workflows, cutting strategies, and cycle time reduction.

Support implementation of automation systems, including robotic pallet changers and smart manufacturing tools.

Contribute to tool design and machining strategy for new product introductions.

Mentor junior programmers and share best practices in advanced machining and digital manufacturing

Understanding of the ISO9001 quality standards.

Qualifications & Experience

5+ years of experience in CNC programming or advanced manufacturing.

Proficiency with CAM software (Mastercam, Siemens NX, etc.)

Strong understanding of GD&T, fixturing, and toolpath strategies for hard metals and Aluminum.

Experience with 5-axis machining, mold making, or complex surface machining.

Familiarity with automation systems, PLCs, or robotics a plus.

Comfortable working in a high-paced, problem-solving environment Preferred Traits.

Detail-oriented with a strong technical mindset.

Eager to innovate and improve manufacturing efficiency.

Strong communicator — able to bridge the gap between engineering and production ? Adaptable, self-motivated, and team-oriented.
