DevOps Engineer Junior to Mid-Level

Location: New York City (Hybrid 2 Days/Week Onsite)

Compensation: $168,750 + 15% Annual Bonus

A well-established global technology firm operating in high-throughput systems is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join its growing engineering team. This role is ideal for someone with a computer science degree or equivalent hands-on experience who is eager to learn, contribute meaningfully, and grow into a larger impact role. Youll be joining a team of engineers focused on building, automating, and supporting performance-critical infrastructure across distributed environments.

What Youll Do:

Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for core backend systems

Automate build and deployment processes using Docker and shell scripting

Collaborate with developers to improve tooling, release workflows, and operational reliability

Participate in performance tuning, troubleshooting, and system health monitoring

Core Skills Needed:

Proficiency in shell scripting (e.g., Bash)

Programming experience in a high-level language (e.g., Java, Python, etc.)

Familiarity with building and deploying applications using Maven or Gradle

Experience working with containerized environments (Docker)

Bonus Experience:

Exposure to CI/CD tools like TeamCity

Experience with Kotlin or AWS

Familiarity with internal tools such as artifact repositories and ticketing systems
