POSITION SUMMARY:
The Contract Web Developer will help re-build and set up maintenance of the HR website presence by developing a plan and schedule. This position will ensure relevant content on the appropriate platforms - public facing and internal facing by developing a conceptual model before rebuild. The Web Developer will be responsible for ensuring HR web pages are aligned with the organization’s visual and color schemes, cybersecurity, and other compliance requirements. This position will collaborate with HR Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to build new sites and web resources based on the immediate and ongoing needs of HR. In addition, the Web Developer will train HR staff on basic maintenance of WordPress.

Website Rebuilding and Maintenance:
Rebuild the HR website to improve functionality, user experience, and accessibility.
Establish and implement a sustainable maintenance plan to ensure ongoing website health and content accuracy.
Remove outdated content and ensure it is not accessible via search engines.
Test and troubleshoot pages on multiple browsers and platformsCollaboration and Project Planning:
Collaborate closely with HR Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to translate their needs into effective web resources and new site development.
Create, plan, and production schedule to connect dispersed HR content on various websites (WordPress and Google Sites) and make recommendations of which content should transition or link to the main HR website. The plan should include three key audiences: 1) public (Wordpress), 2) Organization Community only, and 3) HR only.
Work with SME's who do not have UI/UX experience, and translate their needs into a web format.
Utilize basic project planning skills to manage website development and maintenance tasks.
Provide consultation and guidance to HR SMEs throughout the website development process, ensuring their input is effectively integrated.
Develop prototypes and gain SME buy-in before building sites ensuring best practices, UX, and accessibility
Develop and implement new website features and functionalities based on immediate HR requirements.Content Management and Platform Alignment:
Manage the posting and organization of HR-related content across all relevant platforms, distinguishing between public and internal audiences.
Modify existing pages and access level.
Ensure all web content is current, accurate, and easily accessible.Compliance and Design:
Guarantee all HR web pages adhere to organization’s visual identity, including color schemes and branding guidelines, as well as cybersecurity requirements.

Assist with building templates for HR to use that matches the organization’s graphic. Leverage web images presentations (PowerPoint and Google Slides)
Provide HR management with updates and requirement changes from IT

QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in website rebuilding and maintenance.
Proficiency in content management systems and web development technologies.
Strong understanding of web design principles, including visual identity and user experience.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
Experience in translating non-technical requirements into functional web pages.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Excellent time management and organizational skills to plan, execute, track multiple activities and meet competing deadlines.
Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
General graphic design skills (website banners, templates, etc.)Preferred
