About the Role:
As an Assistant Project Manager, you'll work closely with our Project Managers and field leadership to ensure project success from pre-construction through closeout. Youâ ll assist in managing everything from material procurement and scheduling to subcontractor coordination, safety tracking, cost reporting, and client communication.
What You'll Do:
Assist in day-to-day management of structured cabling and data center infrastructure projects
Help build project schedules and track key milestones, budgets, and deliverables
Coordinate travel and site logistics for field technicians
Collaborate with superintendents, leads, and subcontractors to keep projects moving smoothly
Oversee project documentation including permits, access requests, RFIs, and material requisitions
Track job costs, submit progress reports, and assist with invoicing and client billing
Support contract preparation, changes, and closeouts
Monitor on-site safety and quality programs alongside PMs
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Participate in regular site walks and take ownership of issue resolution and risk mitigation
What You Bring:
1â 3 years of experience in project coordination, construction management, or structured cabling environments (data center experience preferred)
Bachelorâ s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, IT, or a related fieldâ or equivalent work experience
Working knowledge of cabling infrastructure, data center operations, or network systems is a plus
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Excellent organization, communication, and multitasking skills
Ability to travel and be on active job sites regularly
PMP, RCDD, or BICSI certifications are a plus, but not required
