Job Title: Power Platform Developer

We are seeking a Power Platform Developer to join our Project Controls & Management Information Systems (MIS) team. They will design, develop, and implement solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agents) to streamline business processes that support operations. You will collaborate with project managers, operations teams, and other stakeholders to optimize project performance, improve efficiency, and ensure successful delivery of heavy civil infrastructure projects that include mass excavation, roads, bridges, and underground utilities. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL Server experience for data management and a deep understanding of business process optimization to deliver scalable, efficient solutions that meet organizational needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Solution Development: Design and develop custom applications, workflows, and dashboards using Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI to address business requirements.

Business Process Automation: Analyze existing business processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement automated solutions using Power Platform to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Data Integration and Management: Leverage SQL Server to create, manage, and optimize databases, ensuring seamless integration with Power Platform solutions for robust data handling and reporting.

Power BI Reporting: Build interactive and insightful reports and dashboards in Power BI to support data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, including business analysts, project managers, and end-users, to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and ensure solutions align with business objectives.

Solution Maintenance: Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain Power Platform applications and SQL Server databases to ensure performance, scalability, and security.

Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for developed solutions, including process flows, data models, and user guides.

Compliance and Security: Ensure solutions adhere to organizational governance policies, data security standards, and industry best practices.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

3+ years of experience developing solutions with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).

Hands-on experience with SQL Server, including database design, stored procedures, triggers, and query optimization.

Experience analyzing and optimizing business processes to drive automation and efficiency.

Microsoft Certifications (Preferred):

Power Platform Developer Associate (PL-400)

Power Platform Solution Architect Expert (PL-600)

Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300)

Proficiency in Power Platform components (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Virtual Agents).

Strong SQL Server skills, including T-SQL, SSIS, and SSRS for data integration and reporting.

Experience with Microsoft Dataverse for data management within Power Platform.

Familiarity with Fabric (e.g., OneLake, Data Factory, Data Engineering, Data Warehouse, Data Science) is a plus.

Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, and integration with third-party systems.

Domain Knowledge: Understanding of civil construction processes, including estimating, planning, execution, and selling phases.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering business value.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.

Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly terms.

Familiarity with other Microsoft 365 tools and services.

Understanding of civil construction processes, including estimating, planning, execution, and selling phases is a plus.
