Job Description

Job Title: Material Handler

Location: Sandusky, MI

Industry: Manufacturing (Multiple Industries)

Environment: Production, Warehouse, Logistics, Shipping & Receiving

Pay:

1st shift: $16.19/hr

2nd shift: $16.69/hr

Weekly Pay via Direct Deposit or Pay Card

Over Time (1.5x): After 40 hrs/wk

Shift:

1st (Mon - Thurs 6:00 am – 4:30pm)

2nd (Mon - Thurs 4:30 pm – 3:00 am)

Will train on 1st Shift For 2 Weeks

Frequent Fridays (8 hour shift) and Saturdays (6 hour shift)

Approximately 40-55 hours per week

Job Description:

Material Handling & Inventory Management: Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials, ensuring that quantities, specifications, and quality standards meet the company's requirements. Accurately track and record inventory levels to support production schedules.

Transportation of Materials: Use forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move materials throughout the warehouse and production areas. Ensure proper placement of materials in the correct storage locations, ensuring efficient space utilization and easy accessibility.

Loading & Unloading Shipments: Load and unload trucks and delivery vehicles, ensuring that all materials are safely handled and delivered to the correct areas on time. Verify the accuracy of shipping documentation and ensure proper labeling and packing of materials.

Stocking & Organization: Organize materials in the warehouse, ensuring proper identification, and classification of products. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of material locations and assist in periodic physical inventory counts.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety standards, including the proper handling of hazardous materials (if applicable), and follow all company policies regarding safe equipment operation, material handling, and storage practices.

Other: All supplemental duties, responsibilities, or non-essential requirements as assigned.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent

2+ years Warehouse Experience

Ability to measure forklifts, pallet jacks, push carts

Punctuality, positivity, team player attitude

Ability to lift up to 25-30 lbs unassisted and stand for up to 10 hours per day

Ability to differentiate colors

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Must be willing to submit to background check and drug screening

Must own a pair of steel toed boots or steel toed shoes
