Summary
Responsible for all sales activity, from lead generation through shipment of order and follow up after delivery to assure customer satisfaction
Develops new prospects and interacts with existing customers primarily by phone to increase sales of products.
Provides support to customers over the phone and may conduct field visits as necessary. Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and equipment within the waste industry.
Essential Duties
Gain respect of customer through knowledge of product & customer service.
Develop and maintain customer database
Generate and follow-up on qualified leads.
Respond to sale inquiries and concerns by phone, e-mail or in person
Price out containers using pricing guide and SalesForce
Present customers with quotations and follow up on all quotes
Negotiate with clients
Source and develop client referrals
Make sales calls to new and existing customers
Develop and make presentations of company products to current and potential customers
Utilize SalesForce to track all leads, follow-ups, quotes and orders.
Ensure customer service satisfaction and keep good customer relations
Plan and conduct marketing activities
Work with customers on special request
Advise customer of production lead time
Set up delivery dates and times with customers
Follow up with customer after delivery to assure satisfaction
Meet with Production, Operations, and Sales Teams in regards to specific customer needs
Write sales orders & Assign serial #’s
Listen to customers suggestions for improvement of products
Monitor competitors, market conditions and product development
Must have the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

High school diploma or college degree and at least 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area of sales.
Fabrication experience helpful. (Roll off equipment a plus)
Experience in sales of refuse equipment
Must be able to read a tape measure.
Must have computer knowledge in Word, Excel, & SalesForce
Knowledge of principles and practices of sales
Knowledge of customer service principles
Knowledge of basic business principles
Experience in selling & making sales presentations
Proven ability to achieve sales targets
Must be organized and have planning abilities
Must be persuasive
Must be able to adapt to situations
Have the ability to negotiate

Able to do some math in your head and know the tape measure to lay out a container.
