We are looking to add a Seasonal Intern to the Software Engineering team for approximately 3-4 months, with the possibility of a full-time employment offer at the end of the internship period!
This is a hybrid position. Mile Two is a remote-friendly workplace, but this role may require some work to be performed on site, either at Mile Two headquarters downtown Dayton, OH, or at the Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Fairborn, OH.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Understand and engage in the Software Development Lifecycle phases.
Collaborate in sessions to design user interfaces with a focus on user experience.
Execute quality assurance procedures, processes, and standards effectively.
Create, maintain, and execute manual test cases and conduct exploratory testing.
Develop, maintain, debug, and execute automated test scripts.
Identify, analyze, retest, and assist in the resolution of software bugs.
Analyze, document, and communicate quality assurance metrics to stakeholders.
Identify, assess, prioritize, and communicate project risks while assisting in their management.
Participate in development code reviews to ensure quality standards are met.
Organize and prioritize quality assurance efforts to align with project goals.
Requirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance
Currently enrolled or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
Comfortable with paired programming and collaborative team sessions.
Basic understanding of software testing methodologies and tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Detail-oriented with a passion for quality assurance.
