Job Summary:
The ITAD Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations of the IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) warehouse, ensuring efficient and compliant processing of client Enterprise computing and/or datacenter assets. This role involves leading a team to manage receiving, inventory, data sanitization, testing, and shipping activities while adhering to safety, security, and environmental regulations. The Supervisor will optimize warehouse workflows, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with other departments to maximize productivity and minimize costs.
Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations:
Oversee all warehouse activities, including receiving, sorting, testing, data wiping/destruction, dismantling, and shipping of IT assets.
Develop and implement efficient warehouse workflows and procedures to optimize throughput and resource utilization.
Ensure accurate inventory management and tracking using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or other inventory control methods.
Maintain and monitor equipment and tools used in warehouse operations.
Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations related to e-waste handling and disposal (e.g., R2, ISO 14001).
Team Leadership and Management:
Supervise, train, and motivate warehouse personnel, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing feedback.
Foster a positive and productive work environment.
Schedule and manage staffing levels to meet operational demands.
Conduct performance evaluations and address performance issues.
Provide coaching and mentoring to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Inventory and Asset Management:
Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular cycle counts.
Ensure proper handling and storage of IT assets to prevent damage or loss.
Coordinate with logistics and sales teams to manage asset disposition and resale.
Quality Control and Compliance:
Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data wiping, testing, and other processing activities.
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including data privacy and environmental standards.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to warehouse operations and compliance.
Participate in audits and inspections as required.
Logistics and Shipping:
Ensure accurate and timely shipping of processed IT assets.
Prepare shipping documentation and ensure compliance with transportation regulations.
Reporting and Analysis:
Generate and analyze warehouse performance reports, including productivity, inventory accuracy, and safety metrics.
Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Provide regular updates to management on warehouse operations and performance.
Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse management, preferably in the ITAD or electronics recycling industry.
Proven experience in leading and managing warehouse teams.
Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control principles.
Familiarity with IT asset disposition processes and data security best practices.
Knowledge of environmental regulations related to e-waste handling and disposal.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
Ability to accept and prioritize requirements from multiple sources, including the client, Illumynt Operations and Account Management teams.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Certifications such as R2, ISO 14001, or similar certifications are a plus.
Forklift certification is a plus.
