Title: Inside Sales Representative

Location: Near Aurora, IL

Hire Type: Contract to Direct Hire

Salary:$50k-$55k/yr.

Sterling Engineering is looking for an Inside Sales Representative for a leading manufacturer of material handling solutions near Aurora, IL. This is a great opportunity to work with a growing company that loves to promote from within!

Job Duties:

Proactively follow up on open quotes, utilizing product expertise to close sales opportunities

Engage prospective customers through inbound lead response and cold-calling efforts

Create personalized prospecting emails and contribute to marketing campaigns to increase engagement

Collaborate with Territory Managers and Distributors to develop new customer relationships

Maintain detailed customer records and quote follow-up documentation in Salesforce

Coordinate with Operations to provide order status updates and delivery information to customers

Generate accurate quotes using the company ERP system and present compelling product solutions

Foster customer satisfaction through proactive post-quote engagement and relationship building

Assist the Outside Sales team with scheduling appointments and customer outreach

Deliver comprehensive product knowledge and industry insights to support the sales process

Strive to meet and exceed sales quotas and KPIs

Support internal collaboration to improve sales efficiency and customer experience

Represent the company professionally at trade shows and industry events as needed

Provide regular updates to management on sales metrics and account activity

Qualifications:

Associate degree or equivalent work experience required

Minimum of 2 years of inside sales or related experience preferred

Demonstrated success in achieving business development and sales goals

Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems preferred

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Strong communication skills and a results-driven mindset

Effective cold-calling and social media engagement abilities

Willingness to travel up to 15%
