What We’re Looking For:

Iridium is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Network Security Administrator II to support the management and security of our enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have foundational experience with network security technologies, a solid understanding of security principles, and the desire to grow in a dynamic, mission-critical environment. This role is well-suited for someone with a strong technical foundation who is looking to deepen their expertise while contributing to meaningful security operations.

What You’ll Do:

Support the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of network security devices, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPNs, and other related technologies from vendors such as Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Checkpoint, and Fortigate

Perform routine monitoring and analysis of security systems and logs to identify potential threats or misconfigurations and escalate when necessary

Assist in troubleshooting network and security issues under the guidance of senior team members

Contribute to the creation and maintenance of documentation such as standard operating procedures (SOPs), network diagrams, and runbooks with guidance

Collaborate with team members on the evaluation and implementation of security tools and solutions

Participate in vulnerability scanning and remediation efforts, and support audit and compliance activities

Stay current with emerging cybersecurity trends, threats, and best practices through training and continued education

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, OR equivalent relevant experience in lieu of a degree

2+ years of experience in Information Security or Network Administration

Foundational knowledge of firewall policies, VPNs, access controls, and network protocols

Exposure to or initial experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, as well as Microsoft and Linux environments

Familiarity with identity and access management (IAM), network segmentation, and data security principles

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, troubleshoot, and escalate issues appropriately

Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly document and present information with guidance

A proactive attitude, curiosity to learn, and willingness to contribute to team goals and projects

We’ll also need you to:

Provide 24/7 on-call assistance as needed to support business operations

Be able to work a hybrid schedule that includes at least 3 days in office

Be able to travel up to 10%

Be able to lift 30 lbs.

Be a U.S. citizen

Work Environment:

This position primarily works in an office setting and is largely sedentary with the majority of the position working with a computer. The role typically requires the use of basic office equipment such as a phone, video, computer, keyboard, mouse, and printer.
