Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate must have experience working with various machining tools and equipment to produce precision parts. Please note that company does not provide relocation assistance.

MUST have 5 or more years’ experience as a trainer on manual lathes.

MUST have 5 or more years’ experience working on manual lathes.

Duties:

- Set up and operate manual lathes

- Read and interpret blueprints to determine machining operations

- Use measuring tools including calipers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to ensure accuracy

- Fabricate parts by cutting, turning, and drilling materials

- Perform basic math calculations to determine dimensions and tolerances

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Trainer on manual lathes

- Proven experience as a Manual Machinist on engine lathes

- Proficiency in using manual machining tools and equipment

- Must be able to perform own setups

- Ability to work with tight tolerances and precision measurements

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice-to-have Skills:

- Experience with CNC lathes (both operating and programming)

- Experience with tooling selection and setup

- Knowledge of various machining processes ID and OD threading

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
