Position Summary: The Credit Analyst is responsible for conducting thorough analysis of basic, commercial, and agricultural credits by identifying strengths and weaknesses, providing recommendations, and noting any deviation from Unity Bank’s loan policy.

Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

• Loan Analysis: Prepare written loan presentations, with a thorough, in-depth, written analysis of the financials statements of commercial and agricultural credits. Evaluate repayment sources, collateral adequacy, and credit information. Assess risk and recommend risk rating changes when analysis merits. Review loan covenants and determine compliance with loan agreements.

• Credit Files: Ensure that all credit files are complete, identify any document deficiencies, and partner with the lending team to provide technical advice and other assistance as needed.

• Loan Policy: Maintain an active knowledge of the Bank’s loan policy.

• Reporting: Provide periodic reporting to senior management, loan committees, and the board of directors as requested.

• Committee Participation: Occasionally attend and actively participate in loan committee meetings.

• Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, privacy policies, industry standards, and internal policies and procedures.

• Market Research: Stay up to date on market data, research industry specific information from outside sources including conversations with the borrower, industry publications, reference from other banks, online research, credit agencies, etc.

• Customer Connection: Attend customer meetings as requested to learn more about the business operations.

Education and Experience:

Associate degree in business, finance, or accounting or equivalent.

Two (2) or more years of credit analysis experience or combination of education and experience.

Banking industry experience preferred

Supplemental Pay: Bonus Pay

Working Conditions: Bank/office environment, secure, comfortable working conditions. May be required to travel to/from branch offices, corporate office, and other facilities.
