Machine Operator – 1st & 2nd Shift
Location: Goose Creek
Pay Range: $22-26/hr (based off experience)
Shifts Available:
1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00AM – 2:30PM
2nd Shift: Monday-Thursday 4PM-230AM Job Summary:
We are seeking skilled and motivated Machine Operators to join our steel fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of fabrication equipment—including press machines and forming machines—to ensure precision, safety, and efficiency throughout the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will demonstrate mechanical aptitude, accurate tape measure reading skills, and a positive, coachable attitude in a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain press machines, forming machines, and other industrial equipment
Set up and adjust machines based on production specs
Read and interpret blueprints and tape measurements to ensure quality fabrication
Perform routine maintenance tasks including die sharpening and mechanical troubleshooting
Conduct quality inspections to ensure conformity with part specifications
Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a clean, organized shop floor
Accurately record production and quality metrics
Assist in inventory tracking and material handling as needed
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to maintain workflow and meet deadlinesSkills & Qualifications:
Entry-level to 3+ years’ experience in machine operation or steel fabrication
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
Proficiency in reading blueprints, measurements, and fabrication specifications
Experience with press brakes, punch presses, mills, lathes, roll forming, or similar machinery
Ability to lift and maneuver large steel parts safely
Basic familiarity with tape measures, calipers, and cranes
Team-oriented mindset and commitment to workplace safety
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $26.00/hr.
