Job Description

As a Lead Machinist, you will be responsible for safely and accurately using CNC machinery to perform a variety of functions. You must possess exceptional skills, be detail-oriented, and work with precision while complying with all safety guidelines. A keen eye for detail and excellent mechanical aptitude are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

Prepare and operate CNC machines to execute tasks such as drilling, turning, grinding, and milling.

Understand task specifications and desired outcomes by reading engineering drawings and other documents.

Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto CNC machines.

Conduct test runs to ensure machines produce outputs according to specifications.

Closely monitor machines during operations and make necessary adjustments for better results.

Inspect and measure finished products to ensure processes are completed properly.

Perform daily inspections and maintenance on machinery to ensure functionality.Essential Skills

Proven experience as a CNC operator.

Proficiency in operating CNC machinery and tooling.

Ability to use precision measurement tools.

Capability to read and interpret mechanical and engineering documents and drawings.

Strong mechanical aptitude and good math skills.

Excellent communication abilities.Additional Skills & Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Certificate or diploma from a CNC machining school or technical college is a plus.Why Work Here

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $54080.00/yr.
