Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking a Manufacturing Technician C to join our team. This team member is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the proper functioning of tools and equipment used in production from day to day.

Essential Functions:

Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on tools, carts and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition

Follow production casting schedules to prevent unexpected breakdowns and repairs that are needed on tooling

Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with tools and equipment

Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems

Use of basic maintenance hand tools which include but not limited to: Drills, Drivers, Wrenches, Ratchets, Thread Insert Repair, Tape Measure, Understand Measurements

Maintain an inventory of tools, parts, and supplies needed to maintain and repair tooling for production usage

Update reports through work order system and spreadsheets created by dept

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes and procedures

Conduct safety inspections and address any potential hazards to direct supervisor or SME

Communicate and work closely with production, engineering, and quality control teams to ensure tools and equipment meet production requirements

Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods

Ability to work overtime as needed to support the business

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent with 6 years prior experience, 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 2 years prior experience

Preferred Additional Skills:

Previous experience in tooling maintenance, repair, or a related field

Relevant certifications or training in maintenance, repair, or a related field
