SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for maintaining all aspects of the surveillance system, and related equipment, along with the installation of any additions or changes to the system.

Contribute to a safe work environment, through compliance with established safety guidelines, identifying potential safety hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate person for proper resolution.

Maintain a professional departmental, company and community reputation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Ensure that all cameras and other surveillance equipment outside of the surveillance room are working properly.

Make any adjustments to cameras as needed, with regards to angles, lenses, mounts, wiring and housings.

Assist in the planning, placement and installation of cameras and support equipment into new or reconfigured casino and/or security areas.

Ensure that all surveillance equipment located within the surveillance room is working properly.

Troubleshoot issues from end device to head-end.

Clean and maintain all surveillance equipment as needed.

Maintain an inventory of all equipment and parts installed, held for spares, received and shipped for repair.

Perform repairs and adjustments to all surveillance equipment.

Install new surveillance equipment as needed, using conduit, cable and video equipment; this is done adhering to all state and federal rules, regulations and laws.

Assist in the ordering and stocking of necessary cleaning supplies and spare parts for existing equipment.

Responds to emergency service calls.

Maintain a neat and organized work area.

Maintain confidentiality within the set guidelines.

Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

AGE and GAMING:

21 years of age or above

Gaming property – Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the State of Arkansas.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Graduate or equivalent. One year of surveillance system experience in providing maintenance, repair and installation of video monitors, video cameras, pan/tilt motors and gears, system processor and controls, and system peripheral equipment preferred. Be able to handle surveillance equipment – lift and carry. Be able to access areas of installation of surveillance equipment – ceilings, attics, etc.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries from other employees or guests. Fluency in English. Ability to write detailed instructions and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

The employee is also regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, and to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, stretch, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must have 20/20 corrected vision. Essential responsibilities include moderate physical ability such as lift or maneuver at least fifty (50) pounds, and varied instances of standing/walking during the shift.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud. When on the casino floor or other designated areas may be subjected to tobacco smoke. Must be able to handle intoxicated guests in a professional manner.

Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, employees must be able to work varying-schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.

This position allows little to no participation in company employee events.
