The SARA, Inc. High Power Electromagnetics Division (HPEM) is looking for a remarkably talented, motivated, and imaginative Inventory Control Clerk to support production activities and transition innovative technologies and products to the DoD, DoE, and their contractors, from our Colorado Springs, CO location. The candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with Quality Assurance and Fabrication Technicians to order, receive, and track materials for various production builds or shop needs.

The Inventory Control Clerk will be responsible for the organization of parts and materials related to the Production Engineering Team.

Core Responsibilities:

Assist with simple purchase requisitions

Receive, inspect, and document incoming parts and materials for inventory

Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies

Maintain the inventory area by cleaning, organizing, and labeling inventory per our ISO 9001 quality standards

Deliver materials and components to appropriate production work areas or engineering staff as requested

Part cleaning and kitting prior to technician assembly

Support disposal or return of obsolete, non-conforming, or excess inventory

Work closely with Production Engineering, Quality, and Procurement teams to ensure accuracy and availability of parts

Follow all safety protocols and quality procedures, including ISO 9001 documentation and traceability requirements

Support cycle counting, barcoding, and process improvement initiatives related to inventory control

Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent

Strong organization skills

High attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping

Self-starter with a strong work ethic

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Procurement software, email)

US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance

May require light physical effort, involving standing, sitting and use of hands while performing duties, carrying or lifting up to 30 pounds

Working environment is indoor, moderately quiet, reasonably clean, well-lighted, and well-ventilated; moderate physical hazards may exist

Preferred Qualifications:

1 -2 years of inventory, warehouse, or material handling experience

Prior experience in a manufacturing, production, or engineering support environment

Experience using an MRP / ERP System

Military experience

Pay Range

Salary at SARA is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $19 to $25 (hourly USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of SARA’s total compensation package for employees. Positions are on-site, unless indicated otherwise.
