Fabricator - Press Brake Operator - 1st Shift

Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled Fabricator (Press Brake Operator) to join our fabrication team. This position is responsible for setting up and operating press brake machinery to bend and form metal components for custom food processing equipment.

Work Schedule:

Mon-Thurs 530am-4pm **OR **Tues-Frid 530am-4pm (based on business needs)

**Responsibilities:**

Operate press brake machines from various manufacturers to fabricate components per specifications

Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and work orders

Apply knowledge of fabrication mathematics and bend allowances to ensure accurate output

Identify, retrieve, and properly install required punches and dies based on bend radius and material thickness

Measure and verify part dimensions using a variety of measuring tools, including tape measures, calipers, machinist squares, and protractors

Download program files or manually program press brakes at the controller

Set up press brake parameters including tonnage, bend angle, and absolute position for each program step

Operate manufacturing equipment with strict adherence to safety guidelines and best practices

Maintain a clean and organized work environment

**Qualifications:**

2+ years of fabrication or press brake operation experience preferred

Willing to submit to drug and background screening

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work orders

Proficient with fabrication mathematics and measurement tools

Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

Experience downloading and programming press brake files or manual setup

Knowledge of safe work practices in a manufacturing environment

Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods
