What You Will Achieve
In this role, you will:
Lead and allocate people, technology, and financial resources to achieve business goals.
Actively share knowledge across multiple functions and contribute to the development of knowledge management processes.
Champion and implement innovative ideas, taking calculated risks to drive innovation.
Develop solutions to highly complex problems and establish business priorities based on the Division's strategy.
Assess talent needs, identify and develop a diverse talent pipeline, and hold managers accountable for their management skills.
Manage direct reports, oversee compliance programs, and spearhead process improvement projects to ensure alignment with division goals.
Define and implement strategies to achieve results, continuously improve operational performance, and ensure colleague training programs support cGMP requirements.
Qualifications
Must-Have
BA/BS with 6+ years of experience or MBA/MS with 5+ years of experience or PhD/JD with 1+ year of experience.
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
Proven ability to manage complex projects and lead cross-functional teams.
In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and cGMP requirements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Nice-to-Have
Master's degree with relevant pharmaceutical industry experience.
Experience in leading regulatory and customer audits.
Proven track record of driving process improvements and innovation.
Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence senior management decisions.
Experience in knowledge management and sharing practices.
Ability to assess and develop talent within the organization.
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Job will include standing, walking, and sitting. Occasional lifting may be required. Job will also entail occasional off-shift and weekend work. Because the position does hold ad hoc memberships on several corporate teams, travel to other Pfizer sites may be required infrequently.
This position will operate Primarily on First Shift but will have direct reports supporting a 24/7 operation.
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Office environment with routine time spent in the organic synthesis plant, (both indoor and outdoor environments). Minimal travel for this position.
Occasional travel may be required for specific projects or training. Job will also require occasional weekend/evening work supporting a 24-hour/7 day operation.
