Area Manager - Colorado

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES

Drive excellence in eye care! Become a key leader empowering teams and enhancing patient experience across our clinics. The primary responsibility of the Area Manager is to ensure that all patients are always receiving the best quality of care. This person will be responsible for the guidance and supervision of staff members across multiple locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise 13 practice locations; driving best in class patient experience through the management of working closely with the Practice Managers and Director of Operations

Manage multiple non-clinical teams including Practice Managers, Opticians, Technicians, Patient Care Coordinators advising on role modeling best practices, coaching and mentorship

Partner effectively with Lead Optometrist to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.

Work closely with practice Optometrists to ensure the highest standard of patient care and workflow efficiency.

Monitor all aspects of practice operations, implementation of new initiatives, provide on-the-job-training and support to team members using core philosophies.

Analyze practice financial data, KPI performance, and makes recommendations to optimize overall practice profitability.

Partner with HR to recruit and select high-caliber talent.

Travel to locations to provide support and drive performance of practices.

Ensure overall compliance related to billing, staff behaviors, and HIPAA regulations.

Perform duties related to product management, inventory management, and cost of goods.

Evaluate staff on a consistent basis, conduct performance reviews and deliver team trainings.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

Minimum of 5 years of multi-unit management experience. Strong preference for Optometry or Eye Care industry experience

Excellent customer service skills and personal presentation are critical to this role.

Strong understanding of practice operations, processes, and high level of business acumen.

Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to set, monitor and achieve productivity goals.

Ability to problem solve, exercise sound judgment, and exhibit a high level of attention to detail.

Understanding of optometric business processes and strategic development.

Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet required deadlines.
