Description
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: The Warehouse Associate supports SCGC’s warehouse operations. Responsibilities include receiving, inputting, sorting, loading and unloading products and performing various warehouse activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process internal customer orders, picking, kitting, and perform shipping activities
Organize stocks and maintain inventory.
Inspect products for defects and damage.
Examine ingoing and outgoing shipments.
Organize and clean warehouse space, internal and external.
Receive, unload and place incoming inventory items appropriately.
Check, verify and fill customer invoices.
Abide by all company safety and hygiene regulations.
Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehousing procedures.
Keep the warehouse clean and organized daily.
Overstock maintenance and organization.
Performs other related projects and assignments as business dictates.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.
Adequate knowledge of warehouse data system
Team player with organizational skills
Ability to lift or move heavy products.
LICENSES REQUIRED: Regular Class “E” Driver’s license.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Proven warehouse experience
High school diploma
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Regular attendance is required during scheduled working, may include nights and weekends.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Occasional walking, standing, kneeling, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
