Purpose Statement: To support a productive and accessible learning environment that breaks down barriers to enable deeper learning for all students and staff.
Essential Job Functions
Coordinate with administrators and instructional leaders to determine how assigned systems can best meet BCSC educational needs and state requirements and maintain compliance with legal, State Board of Accounts, and Indiana Department of Education requirements.
Directly engage with Human Resources and Business offices to ensure systems properly support established processes and procedures.
Supervise various department functions including hiring/firing recommendations, planning, scheduling, and coordinating activities, and training personnel to ensure that the department functions in an efficient manner
Supervise personnel responsible for the installation, upgrading, and day-to-day activities of the administrative and instructional systems software
Review employee performance and activities and recommend actions necessary to ensure high levels of performance
Coordinate and conduct meetings related to various teams and/or projects. This includes ensuring the right participants are in attendance to solve the problem at hand or reach the required decisions often encompassing an enterprise viewpoint.
Develop goals, approaches, and measures in support of division and district goals
Inform administrative and instructional systems staff of various procedures and program requirements to provide necessary information for making decisions, taking appropriate action and/or complying with established guidelines
Assess administrative and instructional system failures to determine appropriate corrective actions
Oversee system tailoring and database maintenance for assigned teams and/or projects in collaboration with other members of BCSC and the Technology Division.
Recommend new and emerging technology and products to meet the information needs of the corporation
Define, document, and implement processes and procedures needed to fulfill department's mission
Create and nurture excellent and highly credible user relationships with particular emphasis on consistent, superior service.

Works in standard office building environments
Occasionally works in confined areas (utility closets) or other service areas of buildings
Qualification
4 year college degree or equivalent related work experience
Terms of Employment:
260 Days/12 Paid Holidays
Vacation time
40 hours per week
