Controls Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Controls Engineer to support growing operations, new business, and incoming machinery. This is a hands-on, on-site role ideal for an individual with a robust background in industrial manufacturing—especially within automotive, robotic welding, and assembly environments. The position is open due to increased project volume and offers the potential for direct hire based on performance and value added.Key Responsibilities:

Support launch and integration of new machinery and robotic systems

Lead and optimize robotic welding and assembly processes

Work on automation initiatives focused on efficiency, quality, and safety

Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, production staff, and leadership

Conduct process improvements aimed at reducing scrap and cycle time

Participate in run-offs, equipment validation, and continuous improvement projects

Monitor and report on KPIs to track manufacturing performanceRequired Qualifications:

Strong Controls Engineering background with hands-on industrial experience

Proven experience with Robotic Welding and Assembly Systems

Prior work in Industrial Manufacturing; Automotive and stamping experience preferred

Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement and automation

Familiarity with run-offs, cycle time reduction, and scrap minimization

Comfortable working on-site in a fast-paced production environment

Excellent communication and collaboration skillsLocation: Avon, OH

Hours: 7 AM - 4:30 PM Monday through Friday
