Location: Washington, DC

Work Arrangement: Onsite

Duration: 12 month contract, with possible extension

W-2 or 1099

No C2C, visa transfers, or sponsorship

The DNA Group is seeking an experienced Mainframe Storage Administrator with over 8 years of expertise in managing IBM System Z storage environments. This role involves overseeing storage allocation, optimizing performance, handling backup and recovery operations, and executing disaster recovery and failover procedures. The ideal candidate will lead the adoption of advanced storage technologies, serve as a subject matter expert on system usage, and consult with clients on best practices for maximizing IT investments.

Overview Requirements:

• Proven leadership in implementing and integrating complex storage platforms.

• Deep knowledge of IBM z/OS systems, IBM utilities, and third-party tools.

• Hands-on experience with IBM, Dell/EMC, and Hitachi disk systems.

• Strong background in managing replication, backups, archiving, and restorations.

• Skilled in operating automated tape libraries and virtual tape systems from IBM and CA.

• Ability to design and execute implementation, testing, and integration plans.

• Consultative approach to support client adoption and efficiency of IT infrastructure.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience

• Training or certification in a particular product or IT platform/service.

Required Experience:

• Leading advanced technology or service projects: 16 years (Required)

• Full system engineering lifecycle experience: 16 years (Required)

• Creating implementation/integration plans, test plans, and training materials: 16 years (Required)

• Hands-on experience with a specific product or IT platform: 16 years (Required)
